I have recently installed the bronze Landing Barn Owl in three locations across the UK, two exterior and one interior.
This sculpture was completed at the beginning of 2021 and the first two casts were patinated differently in order to suit their surroundings.
This light grey owl has been custom fitted to the top of this stone post in order to give the appearance of landing directly onto the wall. The light grey patina also helps the sculpture to stand out in front of the trees behind.
The claws of the owl are attached to a custom base which was made during the wax chasing stage. The bronze sculpture has then been fitted with two bits of thread that are screwed in and drilled down into the wall.
The Verdigris Owl was installed in this beautiful location in July, and serves as a centre point to the drive way in front of the house.
One of the great joys of my job is having the ability to install the sculptures myself, and see how they can transform the spaces in which they are installed
The Landing Barn Owl also works well in interior spaces as well, as a focal point to the room
