Direct observation lies at the heart of my work. Time spent studying animals in their natural environment informs the movement, character and presence of every sculpture.
Each sculpture begins with a wire armature, before being built by hand in clay or plasticine. Once complete, the original is moulded and cast in bronze using the traditional lost-wax process.
