Foundry lead time for a new cast is no more than 8 weeks.

The pieces are individual rather than fixed to a single base, so the family can be spread out and arranged in any number of formations - grouped close together, strung out in a line, or set at different distances across a table or a mantelpiece - and rearranged to suit the space. It makes for a flexible piece that can be shown tightly as a herd or spaced out as though the animals are moving through open country.

It is cast in bronze by the lost-wax process and finished by hand with a patina worked into the surface, so each figure holds the light as you move around it. A limited edition of twelve, each cast signed by the artist and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.

I made this during and after a trip to Ol Jogi in Kenya, where I was lucky enough to use a hidden hide by a watering hole and could sneak right up and see the giraffe up close as they came down to drink.
