WHITE RHINO

White Rhino

Two tonnes at ease

Replies personally, usually within one working day.

Foundry lead time for a new cast is no more than 8 weeks.

White rhino are grazers, and they move through grass with their heads down in a slow, wide sweep. [Seeing one at close range] the thing you register isn't the horn — it's the sheer engineering of the shoulders and the way the head hangs from them.
I've kept the pose calm and horizontal, letting the mass do the talking. The hide is modelled in broad planes rather than fine texture, with folds worked where the skin actually gathers, so that from a distance the piece reads as one weight and only breaks into detail up close.
Cast in bronze in the UK by the traditional lost-wax process. Each cast in this edition of 12 is individually numbered and signed by hand, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

I found him licking salt off the floor - utterly unguarded. That was the moment I wanted to keep
